Back again with some more ways to profit from private label rights products. Getting plr products and editing them is the easy part, but it comes down to actually selling them that puts cash in your pocket. Right? Like I’ve said before, unfinish projects don’t make you money. Finishing them, by working on selling them gets you rolling. This of course is not a complete course on copywriting or selling, but it should be enough to get you started.
Let’s get to it…
Once you’ve chosen a PLR product and you have the rights to start editing it and selling it, the next thing you need to do is to consider how you’re going to promote it and convince people to part with their cash, get them to click the buy button.
There are many potential answers to this but one of the most important aspect to consider is the sales page. The sales page is the page where you’ll be trying to convince visitors to part with their money and with the right design and wording, you can get people who were maybe on the fence to change their minds. Here are some tips to help you do that with the perfect sales script…
Grab Their Attention
The first thing to realize is that people are in a hurry most of the time. Chances are that they landed on your website by accident and probably want to leave quickly so they can get on with their daily activities. Your job is to convince them to stick around just a bit longer and the best way to do that, is to grab their attention with a strong opening.
One of the best options here is to use a narrative structure. Make it a story because people naturally want to listen to stories through to the end and because stories are great for inspiring emotion. I believe it also makes it more interesting, not as boring. “Buy my stuff” rarely works.
Don’t forget, the most important part of your sales letter, is the title. It is the first thing your visitors see, so it’s the part that really needs to stand out and grab them, to keep them reading more. Your title should also include the big benefit, sometimes more than one big benefit, that makes the visitor want your product.
Make The Pitch Skimmable
People are intimidated by large blocks of text and especially because – as we just saw – they tend to be in a hurry. It’s your job then to make sure your content is easily skimmable with lots of headings and lots of nicely spaced out paragraphs.
I know I’ve said to myself many times, mostly in my head, ugh, I don’t want to read all that. What about you? Plus, when you break up your sales letter, you have more opportunities to format your text in interesting ways. Just be careful you don’t go overboard.
Focus on the Value Proposition
Most important of all is to ensure that you are focusing on the ‘value proposition’. This is the way in which your product can provide value and this should involve some kind of tangible improvement to the customer’s life. For example, maybe your product is going to make them more confident, help them to feel better in the morning when they wake up and potentially have more success with the ladies/men. If you’re selling an ebook on fitness, then that is what you want to focus your text on, not the number of pages you’re offering! Tell them what they will get or gain from your product.
Encourage Them To Buy Now
Finally, make sure that your customers aren’t going to leave to ‘think on’. Chances are that they’re not going to come back. Or they will think about it and form doubts why they shouldn’t buy. Instead, introduce a limited time offer or make up something about limited stock. Doing this will add ‘time pressure’ and that will make them want to act quickly.
You could also create an irresistible offer, one that your prospects can not refuse. This could be accomplished by adding bonuses or “extras’, to entice them to take action and pull out their wallet. I personally not a fan of pages and pages of bonuses, but that is only my opinion.
Like I said in the beginning, this is not a all encompassing guide to creating sales pages. I think of it as a primer that covers the most important aspects your copy needs to have the best chance of converting. Studying copywriting can really improve your business.
If you really want to ramp it up, your sales pages should always be in testing mode. Testing different titles, call to actions and more. This is one of the quickest ways to boost your sales conversions.
